Settings and Basic functions
Sender Address Settings#
Before usage, pay attention to setting the sender address, which will be printed on the label. The sender address is configured in the settings section; without a configured address, none of the options in the web application will work. You can create multiple addresses and then select them as needed.
Creating a Shipment#
In the application’s top menu bar, select “Shipment” – “New Shipment.” Choose the country, and the corresponding products will be set based on it. Depending on the product type, fill in the required details, where the address can be selected from the so-called autocomplete. Then click “Insert” = the parcel is saved to the Shipment List. After that, you can enter additional parcels in the same way.
If you are sending just one shipment, you can choose the option “Insert and Print.”Notes:#
Recipient Address:
• If you wish to save the customer to the Customer List, check the “Save to Customer List” box (the next time you send a shipment to this customer, you can select them from the list, and all data will be filled in automatically).
• Street – use the autocomplete and the city, including the postal code, will be filled in automatically.
• City/Postal Code – use the autocomplete to avoid incorrect postal codes.
• E-mail – enter the recipient’s email address here – if you fill this in, then when you use the “Send Email to Customers” function, an email with shipment information will be sent to this address.Shipment Parameters:
• Number of pieces – if you enter a number other than 1, that number of shipments will be created in the database.
• COD amount – if you do not want to send the parcel as COD, do NOT fill this field in.
• Label printing note – can be used for a message to the driver/recipient – Note! Only 30 characters.
• Increased protection – if the value of the parcel exceeds the insurance included in the transport price (according to individual products), enter the total value of the parcel without VAT in the field – the system will automatically insure the parcel for the higher value.
Thermal Printer Settings#
In case of printers that support the ZPL language, the printer is configured as follows:
In Settings and “Printer Setup,” choose your printer and click on the “Select COM Port” button.Select the COM port to which the printer is connected. Mark it and click “Connect.”The result is a confirmation that the printer is connected.
Afterward, test the printer by clicking “Print Test Label.”
If the test label prints successfully, select “Save Settings.”
Then you are ready to use thermal prints.
Label Printing#
After filling in the address and parameter data for the shipment, you can:
• Insert – the shipment is added to the Shipment List. You can still edit it, print it in bulk, or delete it.
• Insert and Print – you are immediately redirected to printing. The procedure is the same as for bulk label printing.Bulk Label Printing#
In the Shipment List menu bar, click “Print” – “All Not Printed” (or “Selected”, i.e., those that were marked with a check on the left side).Step 1 – Selecting the Print Start Position#
Click on the label number (1–4) from which you want the label printing to start.Step 2 – Preparing and Processing Labels, Checking Them#
Step 3 – Generating PDF (Direct Printing to Thermal Printers)#
A PDF file with shipments that do not contain errors is generated. If an error occurs for any shipment, it is listed here and can be corrected immediately (the shipment opens in a new browser tab).• Chrome – a bar may appear where you choose “Open.”• Mozilla – check “Open with”, click “OK.”• Other browsers – typically a combination of the above.
After opening the label, you can print it using the print icon, which is usually found in the top right corner. It may also open a print preview window for the labels (some Chrome versions). In the menu bar, click “File” – “Print” or use the Ctrl+P shortcut.Reprinting a Label#
The procedure is the same as for printing newly entered shipments.
After specifying the start position, the application will notify you that by doing this step you are also sending data to the PPL system.
If you reprint a label, the shipment number remains the same, and you must destroy the original label! This prevents potential duplicate shipments. If all labels have been printed correctly, close the print preview (PDF) window and return to the Shipment List.Canceling a Parcel#
When you print a label, the data is simultaneously sent to PPL. If the parcel will not actually be shipped via PPL, you MUST cancel it (this lets PPL know that the parcel will not be sent, and PPL will not expect it in operation).
Return Shipments#
Returns can be handled in the Settings section – Return Shipments Pages. Here you need to create a page using the “Create a new page” button. After creating it, you will find your URL in the “Return Shipments Pages” section. On that URL, you will find further instructions for returning a shipment. You can open the page via the “Copy URL” button and then pasting the link into your browser, or by clicking the arrow next to it, which automatically opens the page in a new tab.In the link, fill in the required information, and then you will be redirected to another page where you can print your own label or QR code.
Print – Parcel List (Printing Handover Protocols)#
In the top menu bar, click “Print – Parcel List.” A file will be generated. When printing this file, select the date of printing from–to (default is the current date) and print. The list includes all products, including additional insurance (if entered). If multiple users are set up, select which user the handover protocol should be generated for.Send Email to Customers#
– information about the shipped parcel
In the top menu bar, click “Send Email to Customers” – for parcels where you entered a recipient email, an email with information about sending the shipment will be sent. A list of emails to be sent appears (all will be checked by default – you can uncheck any), then click “Send.”Order Parcel Pickup#
Order the pickup of a parcel at your company (applies to the parcel platform). For oversized shipments, pickup is ordered by printing labels!Parcel from Any Address#
Order the pickup of a parcel from anywhere in the Czech Republic and have it delivered either back to your company address or to a third party.
When ordering a parcel from any address, there is no need to create a label in advance; it will be provided by PPL.CREATING LABELS DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ORDER A PICKUP. DO NOT FORGET TO ORDER A PICKUP (OR A TRANSPORT ORDER).Modified at 2025-03-04 07:50:45
